Calculator Resources

Do I need to use a graphing calculator for my math course?

To see if your course requires a graphing calculator, check the syllabus for that course. Many math courses have homepages with this information.

Which graphing calculator should I buy?

If you will be buying a graphing calculator, we recommend the TI-83, TI-83 plus, or TI-84. These have the most widespread use and support on campus, so help is easier to find.

Where can I find help with my graphing calculator?

A CD-ROM that contains short lessons focusing on using your calculator within a math context.  This is also appropriate for those using a TI-84. Now you can also view the lessons from our website!

The MSLC also offers graphing calculator workshops throughout each quarter (except summer quarter). To see our current workshop schedule visit our Upcoming Events page.
